So...a boot plus crutches for another week or two...and X-rays that have th Dr and Tech at odds - anyone know a good radiologist?

Diagnosis: compromised Achilles tendon... Crutches and ankle wrap for a week or two. Ok all together now- ahh!

Dr visit Yule... Looks like crutches for the next week.
